Energy Moving in the Studio

"Power Image #7-Connections to Ancestors", Oil on Canvas, 30x40 inchesThree paintings have been put on client HOLD until March 27, "Leaving a Mark" , "I am...", and "Wind River Mustangs".  "Power Image #7-Connection to Ancestors" was released from a HOLD today. Linda has begun her painting for the Alzheimer's Fundraiser for a May 1st deadline. There will be an online auction in addition to the Live Auction this year. Linda thanks Candice Pulliam for the invitation, and is looking forward to seeing old friends at the Artists Thank You party in Mid-May.

Spring in Colorado

A few glorious days in Colorado allowed this painting to begin. Linda's studio practice increases in intensity. Students from out of state are wrapping up an eight week session. Plans for the 3-day workshop in Ridgway in late August continue to develop. Students continue to enjoy working with Linda Armantrout at Creative Framing Art Gallery in downtown Louisville.

This almost finished piece is from the series that began with "Power Image #7—Connection to Ancestors". The picture plane is intentionally ambiguous. Armantrout intends for the image to appear to be painted over the historic Ute rock art. The content speaks to the prestige that the Ute derived from horse ownership. The title refers to the meaning of the word Paiute..."Following the one who Knows the Way." It is part of the Connection to Ancestors Series.

Studio Practice Energized

"Band of Forces", triptych", oil on canvas, 40"x90".Today the show in West Boulder came down, and all paintings are available in the Studio. Linda has decided to show only online and in the Studio for the next 6 months. Art Consultants, Designers, Collectors, and others interested in viewing the paintings, please call and come by Armantrout Studio for good company and a private showing. Linda is excited to be resuming her intense Studio Practice after a brief interruption for a hand injury repair. 

Spring Quarter Donation

"Where there is Darkness, Light."Candice Pulliam, owner of the Art Services Company, has invited Linda Armantrout to participate in the Annual Alzheimer's Association fundraiser on June 7th.  Local artists paint on palettes that are then auctioned off. Last year the event raised over $7000.00 for the Alzheimers Association of Colorado.  Linda is looking forward to making a painting for this awesome event and this important organization.
