Armantrout's Student Nicole Fox Wins America's Next Top Model

I am so thrilled for my art student, Nicole Fox, America's Next Top Model! Nicole's intelligence, integrity, and hard work led to a win in November '09 on ANTM on the CW network.

Nicole worked hard in classes in my studio and made excellent work for 3 years. She was offered a full art scholarship to University of Denver, and chose to study art at the University of Colorado to collaborate with her sister, Alexandra, a theatre and creative writing student.

Nicole told me she applied the elements and principles that she learned in our classes to the work she did on America's Next Top Model. That is great feedback for me because I believe and teach that whatever your media, these classes will improve your aesthetic and your work.

Armantrout Selected for NCAR for November

The body of work titled "Horse Power as Spirit" was selected for a solo exhibition  in November, 2009,  at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR Gallery 1).  Pieces in the show will include Power Images and the Glory Series, "Horse Power as Spirit", and "Connection to Ancestors II" (67"x88" oil on canvas).

NCAR Gallery 1 has really good gallery hours. The drive up into the foothills and the views from the gallery are stunning. 

NCAR Art Galleries are located in NCAR's Mesa Laboratory 1850 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, Colorado.

We had out of state traffic. The Boulder Camera chose the show as Pick of The Day and alerted everyone to make the stunning drive up to the foothills.

Armantrout Represented by Carla Wright Gallery

Linda Armantrout has begun to show her paintings at the Carla Wright Gallery, 870 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe. Please, visit the gallery to see her work. If you haven't experienced a First Friday on Santa Fe, you won't believe how much excitement is generated.The Carla Wright Gallery has an ongoing group show. You can see Linda there every First Friday and sometimes on collectors' Third Friday. Metropolitan State Center for Visual Arts, Spark Gallery, CHAC gallery, core Gallery, and Musee des las Americas are all neighbors. Enjoy music in the streets and theatre.

CFA Gallery hosts Armantrout

A colorful exhibit featuring works by Linda Armantrout will be on display July, 1st - August, 6th  at  CFA Gallery, 916 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. A reception will be held July 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The Gallery has extended hours during the Louisville Street Faire. 

Horse Power as Spirit to Benefit Colorado Horse Rescue

March 15-23, 2008  “Horse Power as Spirit” 

Linda Armantrout will show her current body of work  as “Horse Power as Spirit” in a solo exhibition in Boulder, Colorado. The Opening Reception is Saturday, March 23rd, 2-6pm and Closing Reception is Sunday, March 23rd, 2-6pm. with an Artist Talk at 4 p.m. Weekday hours 10am-3pm, Friday 10am-7pm, and Saturday, 10am-6pm. 

This will be the only showing of the Power Images and the Glory series in their entirety. Money will be raised for the Colorado Horse Rescue.

This art event is free and open to the public.
